After four intensive Piscines in which we have interviewed a total of 420 candidates, we are proud to announce that we have selected 100 exceptional individuals out of whom 96 of agreed to join Zone01 Kisumu as apprentices.

As they embark on their two-year tuition-free software development course which commenced on April 8th, 2024, our apprentices are on the threshold of a life-changing opportunity. 

For the next two years, the apprentices will go through the 01 talent pedagogy designed to equip them with world-class technical knowledge and practical experience necessary to thrive in future tech roles. Beyond acquiring technical proficiency, our apprentices will also undergo profound personal and professional transformation. 

We are cultivating a vibrant community of tech talent from varied backgrounds. From Kisumu County to Mombasa County, we have welcomed young women and men pursuing genuine excellence in tech. 

While we would have preferred that all 100 selected candidates join us, we recognise that there may be alternative paths that some selected candidates prefer to take at this point in their life. But to our 96 newly minted apprentices, and to all those who aspire to follow in their footsteps, I offer these words of encouragement and motivation: seize this opportunity with both hands, for within it lies the potential to embark on a journey of transformation and growth. Embrace the challenges that lie ahead, for it is through overcoming adversity that we emerge stronger and more resilient. Remember, you are not merely learners; you are pioneers, trailblazing a path for future generations of software developers and digital innovators. 

And to those who have already passed the cognitive games, I urge you to register for the Piscine, for within its immersive experience lies the chance to hone your skills, expand your knowledge, and unlock new opportunities for personal and professional development.
