About Zone01 Kisumu

Zone01 Kisumu is a collective intelligence center who is revolutionizing the access to high-tech jobs in order to address the need for tech talent.

Our selection process, based on motivation and merit, open to all backgrounds, requiring no diploma or previous knowledge in programming and is followed by a two-year intensive program based on an innovative curriculum in software engineering and programming, without tuition fees and a guaranteed employment contract after training.

Our pedagogical system, created by our co-founder Nicolas Sadirac and our Tech team, is based on peer-learning and collective intelligence. Collective Intelligence Centers that run on the 01edu platform have no classes and no teachers, and students personalize their learning schedule through a gamified learning experience.After ending the program, we ensure students' employment into top tech jobs, by connecting the market with our international Talent network, ensuring Talent and Companies aspirations and expectations are met.

What you will be doing

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director to join our organization and play a pivotal role in transforming the education landscape of our country. You will work closely with our local and international teams, to ensure the implementation of the 01Edu educational model, manage the different members of the Zone01 team and organize and maintain and develop relationships with different local partners.

Responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities will be

● Ensure the correct implementation of the 01Edu educational model 2/3

● Boost talents success focused on personal development.

● Propose recommendations for the development of the Talent´s path.

● Develop and manage partnerships with different stakeholders (public and private).

● Develop commercial offers mobilizing the appropriate resources and monitor their implementation.

● Manage funds according to defined procedures.

● Manage Zone01 P&L.

● Collaborate with local and central teams for the development of Zone01 Kisumu.

● Lead, manage, attract, develop and motivate the team.

● Monitor and report business KPI´s and propose improvement/action plans when necessary.

Requirements:

Experience and Skills we are looking for

● A Management or relevant field background.

● Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar functions.

● Experience in managing projects within a multidisciplinary team.

● Strong and transversal understanding of the digital transformation,

ecosystem and new technologies.

● Experience in the creation and management of a digital project with different stakeholders (Public and Private sectors).

● Knowledge and understanding of educational pedagogy.

● Experience in an environment using peer to peer (P2P) learning is a plus.

● Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the labour and training sector.

● Strong leadership and Management skills, inspiring trust, passion with a strong sense of ethics.

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in combination with technical savvy to make good decisions in a dynamic environment.

● Ability to identify trends and develop a clear and compelling vision for the future.

● Strong autonomy and decision-making capacity.

● Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks seamlessly with a attention to detail.

● Strong collaboration skills and capable of mobilising around a common goal.

● Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).

● Proactivity, dynamism and adaptability to change.

● Good command of the Microsoft office / Google Suite pack and other digital

solutions such as CRM, dashboards, between others.

● Good command of the English
